Digital Photography - The Digital Photography
The operation of a digital camera is very similar to that of a normal film camera.
Both have the objective, the aperture and shutter.
A light beam passes through the aperture of the camera (which is variable, where a small number is a great opening to a large number of small opening .. but we will see later that these numbers are used), and the shutter opens controls the exposure time. This mechanism controls the exact amount of light entering the room and hits the sensor.
The big difference between traditional and digital is the way in which light is captured. Instead of the photosensitive film, digital cameras use an electronic device called solid state image sensor (CCD or CMOS more expensive than the other one not, one older than the other less). The surface of the silicon chips of various sizes, is a grid of millions of photosensitive diodes, or more commonly known as photoelements pixel (picture element). Each photoelement captures a portion of the entire image.
